Our instrumental allows us to measure specific biochemical parameters
of the skin, such as moisture (corneometry), amount of sebum (sebometry)
and skin's pH.
- Corneometry: To measure the moisture of the epidermis
an instrument is used to register the electrical capitancy of
the skin's surface. This measurement indirectly determines the
rate of moisture of the corneal stratum, based on the constantly
high dialectic of water in comparison to other skin's components.
- Sebometry: The photometry method is used to measure
the amount of sebum. The deposited sebum is absorbed with a
synthetic film, this film is introduced inside an instrument
which registers the measurement data.
- Skin's pH: To measure the skin's pH we use a plain
glass electrode which, as it makes contact with the skin's surface,
registers its value.
- Indexmetry: To measure the skin's ammount of melanine
and hemoglobine we use an istrument which measures the skin´s
colour. This measurement is based on the absortion principle.
The equipment flashes special lights with three different lengths
of electromagnetic waves. These waves allow this specific measurement.
- Videomicroscope: It provides, a very close image of
the structure of the stratum corneum and the hair. The measurement
of the skin surface is performed through a process in which
the image is digitalized with a UVA light and it enlightens
the skin uniformly.Besides it excludes the undesirable reflection
effect on the skin. All this results in an intense clear image
without shine.
We are working on the incorporation of new instruments in order
to meet the new demands.
